CAMPING WEDDING IN FORKS WASHINGTONS…Posted BY FRANCES MAY ON August 18th, 2009
Fritz and Victoria are two of the most stylish people you could know that are also amazingly kind and always ready for a laugh. When they announced their engagement 5 months ago, we know it would be completely homemade and absolutely gorgeous. Fritz is a graphic designer that recently opened a studio with friend Jeremy Pelly. His work can be seen at Portland’s hotspots Common and Stumptown. And Vicky is the co-owner of Frank James, an edgy Men’s and Women’s boutique in Portland’s newest shopping area Lower Burnside. The concept was one that Vicky had always wanted to do “A Vintage Wedding”. All of the table settings, silverware, linens, vases, and candleholders came from countless hours thrift store hunting. The printed matter and invitations were hand silkscreen by the bride and groom. The campsite where the guests stayed was in the woods behind Fritz’s childhood home. They even thought of a solar powered shower, camping kits with toothpaste and bug repellent, lantern lit walkways, and bathroom facilities. This wedding was a ton of fun and only possible with the crafty work of this amazing couple. It was perfect.
