COLUMBIA GORGE MODEL RAILROAD CLUB

Posted BY FRANCES MAY ON December 03rd, 2009

A few weeks back I went with a few friends to the Columbia Gorge Model Railroad Club’s Annual Presentation. I was mesmerized by the intricate scenes and impressed by the amount of time something like this must have taken. The longer you looked the more you saw. The room was about 1000 sq. ft. and covered in an exact replica of the entire Columbia Gorge complete with The Steel Bridge and Multnomah Falls! It was so much fun to see the crafty work of a retired men’s club. They looked so happy and rightfully proud in their conductors’ hats. Here are a few photos we took. They remind me of a Sarah Vowell cover. I hope you like them.
