I was in college when I first saw a picture of Françoise Hardy on a record sleeve, and it was love at first sight. I’m not sure if this was before Googling was as all-encompassing as it is now, or if I just didn’t really know about it yet. Either is completely possible. (It’s strange growing up on the cusp of technology like that.) In any case, or for whatever reason, I wasn’t much of a Googler back then–which was for the better, as I would have probably obsessed over Françoise Hardy Google image and YouTube searches instead of, you know, graduating from college. But now, 7 years later, my Googling skills are getting sharper, and my love for Françoise is finally beginning to be fulfilled. I ran across this post on Oh Like, reminiscing on her street style in the time way  before Google or the internet were a sparkle in Al Gore’s eye. Check it out, and enjoy Françoise’s video for “Tout les garçon et les filles,” originally released in 1962, and filmed along Les Champs Élysées.
